What are the functions of an toner cartridge chip?

The Function of the Toner Cartridge Chip
1. Receiving Information
This information primarily includes the toner cartridge's print volume, toner level, and toner coverage. However, this information is collected by the printer and then stored in the toner cartridge chip. To ensure the printer's proper functioning, the collected information cannot be recovered. This is why the chip needs to be replaced. In the chip's programming, the toner cartridge is like a bucket of water; once depleted, it cannot be replenished. The toner cartridge itself is like a fish submerged at the bottom of the water; when the water dries up, the fish dies.
2. Storing Information
As mentioned earlier, it stores the information returned by the printer, but this is only part of its storage. The toner cartridge chip also stores the toner cartridge model, usage status, and region information. This means that the toner cartridge chip can only function when it encounters a matching toner cartridge. This also determines that toner cartridge chips from different toner cartridges and different printers are incompatible.
3. Feedback Information
This information is sent back to the printer when needed. In other words, the printer can provide this information to the user when required.
4. Printing Control
The toner cartridge chip controls whether the printer continues printing. When the printer detects low toner levels, it will stop printing.
