1. No Ink Flow During Printing
Symptom: The print head moves but does not print ink during online printing or self-test.
Troubleshooting: There are many possible causes for this, including nozzle malfunction, cleaning unit malfunction, plating failure, and circuit board failure. However, this operation should only be performed after ruling out nozzle malfunction.
First, use tweezers to open the printer's top cover, then turn on the printer power. There is a black square rubber cover on the left side of the printer's cleaning unit; its function is to clean the printer. The print head is sealed. If the print head is not sealed, ink cannot be drawn out during the cleaning unit's cleaning process, and printing will not occur. First, check if the ink cartridge cover has come loose. If it has, use tweezers to pick it up and vertically install it onto the ink intake port of the cleaning unit until it snaps into place. If the ink cartridge cover is still on the ink intake port of the cleaning unit, but is tilted or horizontal instead of vertical, use tweezers to adjust the ink cartridge cover to a vertical position. After that, clean the ink cartridge several times; normal printing should then resume.
2. Paper Not Feeding During Printing
Troubleshooting: My printer won't feed paper during printing. What should I do?
Troubleshooting: If this problem occurs, it's likely a mechanical malfunction, such as a faulty paper feeder or a foreign object falling into the paper feeder. The following situations are caused by foreign objects falling into the paper feeder.
This article introduces a simple repair method for printers that won't feed paper: Because the paper feed slot of ordinary printers is relatively large and opens upwards, small foreign objects such as thumbtacks, rubber bands, and melon rinds can easily become exposed when used in the office or at home, falling into the paper feed slot and preventing paper from feeding during printing.
3. Multiple Sheets Loaded at Once
Does the printer feed multiple sheets of paper at once when printing plain single-page paper?
Troubleshooting: If this occurs, it is likely a mechanical malfunction, or the printer's paper thickness adjustment lever and paper selection lever are in the wrong position.
For single-page paper, adjust the paper thickness adjustment lever backward; for plain paper, move the green print type selection lever on the printer carriage to the left. This will prevent the printer from loading multiple sheets at once when printing plain single-page paper.
4. Abnormal Fault During Startup
After the printer is turned on, the power indicator light flashes, the error indicator light is off, the buzzer sounds an alarm, and no printing operation is performed.
Troubleshooting: If this error occurs, it indicates that the printer has not detected the ink cartridge. The ink cartridge may not be installed correctly; please check. If the ink cartridge and function are installed in the printer, but the power indicator light flashes, the error indicator light is off, and the buzzer sounds an alarm, please check if the ink cartridge is installed correctly.
Open the printer's front cover and check the ink cartridge in the ink cartridge tray located on the right side of the printer. Please check from the side. If a gap is found between the rear surface of the ink cartridge and the carriage bracket, turn off the printer power and reinstall the ink cartridge as needed.
5. What should I do if the printer displays "Low Ink" after installing a new ink cartridge?
(1) The ink cartridge is not installed correctly; (reinstallation is required.)
(2) The printhead metal plate is aged or loose, causing poor contact; (replace)
(3) Replace the ink cartridge using the power-off method; (replace the ink cartridge according to the correct steps, then try again after powering on. Simply open the protective clip and close it to lock the ink cartridge, then clean the printhead.)
(4) Sensor fragments are not reset; (remove the ink cartridge, reset the sensor fragments by hand or with a tool, then reinstall the ink cartridge.)
The printer cannot print after the ink cartridge is installed.
This is caused by tiny air bubbles in the ink supply nozzle; (clean the nozzles using a printhead cleaning tool. If the nozzle problem persists after multiple cleanings, do not remove the ink cartridge; leave it in the machine for several hours, and the problem may improve.)
The printer cannot initialize after installing a new ink cartridge, what should I do?
(1) Reinstall the ink cartridge; (Check that the ink cartridge is correctly installed on the cartridge holder, check that the electrical contacts are good, remove and reinstall the ink cartridge.)
(2) Clean the circuit interface; (If the problem persists, the circuit interface on the back of the ink cartridge may not match the interface on the printhead. Wipe the circuit interface with a soft, dry cloth dampened with a small amount of anhydrous alcohol, then reinstall the ink cartridge.)
