Is It Normal If the First Page Looks Gray After Installing a New Toner?
يشارك
You’re not alone — many customers worry when the first page looks a little gray or “dirty” after installing a new compatible toner.
✅ The good news: This can be normal, and it’s usually easy to fix.
Why the First Page May Look Gray ✅
✅ Toner settling during shipping
During delivery, toner powder can shift inside the cartridge, especially after long-distance shipping.
✅ Printer needs a warm-up print
Some laser printers need 1–2 pages to stabilize after a new cartridge is installed.
✅ Protective parts not fully removed
If a seal tape or protective cover isn’t removed completely, print quality may look off at first.
What to Do (Quick Fix) 🖨️✅
✅ Print 1–2 more pages first
✅ Take out the toner and gently shake it left-to-right 5–6 times
✅ Reinstall it firmly until it clicks
✅ Try a test print again
In most cases, the print becomes clean and sharp right away 👍
When It’s NOT Normal 🚫
If pages stay gray after several prints, you may need help.
